The Ask
Jury Duty Season 2, Company Retreat, marks the highly anticipated return of the hit show with a new spin. S2 takes place at a “company retreat” for a fake company called Rockin’ Grandma’s Hot Sauce. This season takes place at their annual “Company Retreat”. Like last season, the cast is made up entirely of improv actors who are in on the joke, along with one non-actor, the lovable Anthony, who believes it is all real.
As part of the premiere of Company Retreat, Canva aimed to tap into the absurdity of office culture and the improvisational, lightning-in-a-bottle humor that made Jury Duty a cult favorite.

The Results
This campaign delivered Canva’s first custom Prime Video sponsorship, introducing the brand to the platform through a fully integrated, story-driven execution.
The impact extended beyond digital, culminating in a finale event sponsorship with on-site branding, bringing the Rockin’ Grandma’s world into a physical experience and reinforcing the campaign’s cultural footprint.
The Idea
Using clips from the series and the Canva UI as a canvas, we crafted the concept of a New Hire Orientation Presentation for the newest employee, Anthony, and only non-actor. This simple but chock-full-of-fun construct allowed viewers the chance to delve further into company lore and learn more about the future CEO (a brash, hilarious nepo baby who narrated our :30s ad). In the end, we told a fun, fully new story—entirely through Canva.
